Event Calendar

Calendar feeds, add-to-calendar links and event pages that stay correct

Event Calendar turns a fixture list into a calendar people can actually keep. Publish once, and every change you make afterwards reaches everyone who subscribed — without anyone re-adding anything.

The problem it solves

A postponed match should not need thirty phone calls.

When a supporter taps “add to calendar” on a website, they get a copy of that event. Move the kick-off and their copy still says the old time — forever. Event Calendar hands out a live subscription instead, so the correction travels to their phone by itself.

What it does

Subscription calendar feeds

Every calendar you publish gets a permanent feed URL that Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook and any other standards-based client can subscribe to. Subscribers see fixtures, venues, kick-off times and cancellations exactly as you last saved them.

Add-to-calendar buttons and links

Drop a button on your own site or in a newsletter and it opens a pre-filled event in the reader’s calendar of choice — Google, Outlook, Office 365, Yahoo, Apple or a downloaded .ics file. Links can point at “whatever we play next”, so they never need re-editing.

Event and calendar pages

Each calendar and each fixture has a shareable page you can paste into a group chat or a social post, with the subscribe button and the add-to-calendar links already on it.

Embeds for your own website

The same fixture list, the same subscribe button and the same add-to-calendar widget, embeddable as an iframe on the club site. No script of ours runs in your pages.

Reminders and change notices

People who opt in can be told by email — or, where they have also confirmed a phone number, by WhatsApp or SMS — before a fixture, and when one is moved or called off.

Sync into your own calendar app

Optionally, a subscriber can connect their own Google or Microsoft account, and upcoming fixtures are written straight into their calendar and kept correct within seconds of an edit — see below.

Who it is for

It was built for sports clubs — football, handball, hockey, anything with a season, a postponement culture and supporters who want to know where to be on Saturday. The same shape fits any organisation that publishes dates other people plan around: schools and academies, associations and member clubs, venues, congregations, conference and training programmes, and municipal event calendars.

Event Calendar is available on its own at events.aico.swiss and as an integrated module inside the AICO platform by AICONOMY AG.

Connecting a Google or Microsoft calendar

This part is entirely optional and nothing happens without the subscriber’s own action: no organizer, and no administrator, can connect somebody else’s calendar account.

A subscriber who chooses to connect signs in at Google or Microsoft and grants Event Calendar permission to manage events on their calendar. From then on, the fixtures of the calendar they subscribed to are written into their own calendar as ordinary events and kept up to date — a moved kick-off is corrected, a cancelled fixture is removed, usually within seconds of the organizer saving the change.

Exactly which permissions are requested, what is stored, for how long, and how to revoke access from the provider’s own settings are set out in the privacy policy.
